This interesting box is a creation of talented Komogorova Svetlana. In this work the artists has painted an allegorical depiction of a Swan. Here Swan is shown as a romantic and young woman.
The composition is painted in bright oils. Silver metal leaf shines through the designs of the girl's costume.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the title of the work a "Dance" reminding a dance from a ballet "Swan Lake".
